It’s even weirder on the phone. People greet you with a “how are you?” and if you respond and ask back they are shook. I do it all the time. I like to derail phone calls in the first 2 seconds.
Sad update everyone, Tama recently passed away… An estimated 3,000 people, including railway officials, attended Tama the cat’s funeral on Sunday, days after she died of heart failure aged 16. [x]
For those who haven’t read articles about it, the local shrine elevated her to a god. She’s now the Eternal Stationmaster and patron god of the station.
Beautiful.
Now I’m crying thanks
and a new cat was hired right?
yep! her name is Nitama (essentially ”second tama” or “tama II”) and she served under Tama as an apprentice before being appointed her deputy
she works very hard
Everytime this crosses my dash, I reblog. It is the law.
Law
I’m crying at 11pm over train cats
Nitama, already now a mature cat (born 2010), has a protege named Yontama (fourth Tama, b. 2016). There is no information available for either the physical befellment or tragic self-disgrace which has removed Santama from contention.
I just did this free consultation for a fitness program that I’m not going to do, because it’s “free” but they hold your money hostage and then don’t give it to you if you don’t do things to their standards (with no waiver to hold them to their end of the deal.) I told them I wasn’t trying to live by the scale, and they said “yeah, when we see slim people, we’re more interested in getting your body fat really low than having you loose weight, because you don’t need to loose weight.” Truthfully, I’m about 5 pounds above where I normally like to be and wouldn’t mind seeing the scale turn down just slightly.
So they measure my body fat and it’s 16.9% and the consultation lady was like “yeah so we’ll try to get you down to 14% which should be easy because it’s a 6 week program so that’s like half a % per week.” After telling them no because I don’t trust them to give me my money back, I started to look into body fat percentage and it turns out anything below 15% is unhealthy, and my current % is considered “extremely fit.” So I would have had to risk loosing my period and giving myself bone problems so get my money back. Cute.
TLDR: Scams are everywhere, and now even though I weigh slightly more than usual, I feel so good about my body fat %…. Worth the consult I guess.
Ha, ha - I second what anon said, you are missed! See you in November! ;-)
